Call for Entries 2022!

Submit: The EDU Film Festival is now accepting entries for the 2022 festival. We are looking for short films from Minnesota high school (or middle school) students in the following categories: Narrative, Documentary, Experimental, Music Video, Animation, PSA, or Micro-Film.

Focus: In an effort to expand and promote the perspectives presented by the future leaders in the film and TV industry, we have special categories and recognition for young women filmmakers, youth filmmakers of color, young filmmakers who identify as LGBTQ+.

It’s Free: There is no cost for submission or for festival attendance and the festival is open to the public. Official selections will be screened as part of the 2022 EDU Film Festival which we be held on May 20th at MSP Film at the Main (formally St. Anthony Main Theater) in Northeast Minneapolis.

Live and In-Person: For the first time since 2019, EDU is planning an in-person festival, but some or all of the festival will be live streamed and available for screening online for a limited time after the event.

Don’t delay: To submit your short film, fill out the entry form, and upload your video. All submissions are due by April 1, 2022
